Classic looks + modern technology = reliable fun

Yes there is one, sort of.  Getting it down here is part of it as well.

The list of things to do, subject to change, and not necessarily in any particular order is:-
  • Fit Toyota Supra 7M-GE engine and gearbox - DONE.
(Though I now also have a 7M-GTE engine as well!)
  • Replace existing differential with a robust limited slip type, so definitely not the Triumph unit then! DONE
  • Redesign back suspension DONE
  • Install rear coil over dampers.
  • Fit custom driveshafts
  • Fit custom propshaft.
  • Fit rear disc brakes probably Wilwood Powerlite Handbrake Caliper (4 Pot) Radial Mount, 1.0” (25mm) pistons with discs from Ford Sierra. DONE
  • Modern ECU.
  • Extraction exhaust system (not needed in using turbo engine).
  • Rebuild front suspension and fit uprated, probably vented, disc brakes Wilwood Forged Midilite Caliper (4 Pot) Radial Mount, 1.5” (38.1mm) pistons
  • New wheels and lower profile tyres.
  • Rebuild body tub including, probably, new boot floor, footwells, sills, etc and deseam.
  • Fit Le Mans style fibreglass bonnet (de-seamed) with gas suspension arms.
  • New, fibreglass?, bootlid with gas suspension arms, and remote opening.
  • Fit full, multi-point, roll cage to pick up front outriggers and ideally a new outrigger at the back of the chassis to add significant stiffness to the car as a whole, necessary to accommodate the extra power and torque.
