Classic looks + modern technology = reliable fun

This is the story of my MkII Triumph Spitfire called "Bobby", which is currently in pieces in my garage.

It is being rebuilt with a new six cylinder engine and will, hopefully, feature better reliability, better performance, and provide even more fun than the original.

There are a number of challenges ahead, like getting the engine and gearbox in the space available, upgrading the front brakes, and re-designing the back suspension so the wheels behave themselves.

The intention is to detail my ideas, what is actually achieved, and how, on this site.  I welcome any constructive feedback, suggestions, or advice.  To my knowledge this engine has never been fitted to a Triumph Spitfire, though the gearbox has been successfully fitted, as documented here.

I should also point out, and yes this is an excuse, that this is my first ever attempt at building and looking after a web site, so again, constructive feedback and advice are welcome.

I hope you enjoy the site.
